Travel Insurance
We recommend having travel insurance for normal travel risks including delays, missed or cancelled flights, return to home location, private medical treatment, accident etc.
As a guide PJ Hayman Insurance offer inexpensive single trip “Travel Plus” Insurance that covers under 18’s travelling alone and doing surfing. TrailFinders also have suitable policies. However any travel insurance product that covers surfing and the normal travel risks should suffice.
Medical Cover ; If possible bring a GHIC card that allows cheaper access to state hospital services. Sate emergency services are available locally 24/7 even without the GHIC card but they do not accept private insurance. There are private clinics and hospitals that will charge for their services which you should reclaim from your travel insurance.
Please contact us if you have any questions on insurance for the trip.
